Associate Membership FAQs

When are the meetings held?

Tri-County meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month. Occasionally, due to
holidays, this meeting date shifts. The yearly meeting schedule will be posted online in January.

Are other sponsorship and recognition opportunities available?

  • Tri-County Lunch Meetings: The host municipality often seeks sponsors for the lunch meal. Lunch sponsors receive special recognition at that meeting.
  • The I-4 Corridor Annual Super Regional League Breakfast at the Florida League of Cities Conference is a separate, exclusive sponsorship. This breakfast meeting includes municipalities from 7 counties and 64 cities/towns from the Volusia League (16 cities and 1 county), as well as the Tri-County League (22 cities/towns in Orange, Seminole & Osceola County), and the Suncoast League (26 cities/towns in Pinellas, Hillsborough & Pasco County). Affiliate Members are only invited to attend if they sponsor this Super Regional Breakfast Meeting. This Annual Breakfast Meeting is typically held in August.
  • Contact us if you would like more information about these special sponsorships.

Where are the meetings held?

Municipalities host the meetings at venues in their city/town on a rotating basis. The meeting schedule,
and locations, will be published online in January, and in each meeting invitation.

Who attends the Tri-County bi-monthly lunch meetings?

Meeting attendance varies, but is typically between 70-90 attendees. Meeting invitations are emailed to
elected officials, as well as the senior administrator(s) for each municipality. Our Affiliate Members are
also invited, and may send the number of representatives allocated by their membership level.

Who leads the Tri-County League of Cities?

The Tri-County League is led by an Executive Board, who are elected by the membership. Board members
and bylaws are published on the Tri-County League of Cities website. Association management services
are provided by The John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at the University of South Florida.
